During your discovery of the open world of Tower of Fantasy, you must have come across blue or purple pyramid chests. By interacting with it, you will have the choice to produce a perfect decryption or to force the decryption. What is the difference between these two actions, especially since one of them requires a fairly rare resource.
In this guide, we focus on these famous password chests and on the various means of obtaining the Chips that allow the opening.
To force or not to force decryption?
The title of this part is interesting, because we all asked ourselves this question: does it really matter if I force the decryption to save a few chips? The answer is yes. Indeed, it is always important to choose the perfect decryption, because you guarantee yourself a share of the loot offered by the chests. For example, it is necessary to use advanced type Chips on World Boss chests, because they can give interesting matrices for your simulacra; it would be a shame to miss out on Sobek's or even KING's, wouldn't it?
Indeed, when you force the decryption of a loot, you will have a good chance of not getting the whole share of the loot or even of receiving nothing at all. Therefore, if you have type I, II or advanced chips, do not hesitate for a second and consume them, because it would be a shame to spend an interesting loot. Especially since it is relatively simple to obtain these chips!
How to get Chips type I, II and advanced?
These chips can be obtained very easily; already by completing our weekly activity point bar , we can get advanced type chips. Additionally, by completing Bounties, you may receive Type I or II Chips as a reward. Advanced chips are much rarer, but if you use them wisely, you shouldn't feel cheated.
What do Password Chests offer as a reward?
For chests I and II, you will be able to obtain experience, but also many resources, such as weapon batteries, matrix data, ingredients for cooking and sometimes pieces of equipment. The most interesting chests are those given by the World Bosses, because as we were able to tell you just before, they can bring you SSR matrices relevant to your simulacra. Here's a quick refresher of the matrices they can bring you:
- Robarg — KING: matrix, Robarg: matrix
- Apophis — Tsubasa: Matrix, Apophis: Matrix
- Cryobot — Huma: Matrix, Cryobot: Matrix
- Sobek — Crow: matrix, Sobek: matrix
- Lucia — Shiro: Matrix, Echo: Matrix
-
Barbarossa — data to come...
Therefore, do not hesitate to open them, otherwise another player will collect the loot instead!
