October 16, 2020 update

Overwatch : Cinematic Art is now available for pre-order on Amazon and is scheduled for release on December 8, 2020.

After The Cinematic Art of World of Warcraft & StarCraft, it's the turn of Overwatch to have its own collection of illustrations, concept art, ideas and other thoughts used during the process of creating the cinematics.

The Cinematic Art of Overwatch is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $45.00, and is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

The 244-page collection, edited by Jake Gerli (The Art of Diablo) and with contributions from Matt Burns (The Art of World of Warcraft), will look back at the genesis of one of the most iconic FPS cinematics of the past decade.

Crafting these animated shorts required the Blizzard cinematics team to explore new ways of animated filmmaking with a bold new art style, more frequent releases, and intimate collaboration with the game team. The Cinematic Art of Overwatch chronicles this journey, featuring never-before-seen art and anecdotes that illustrate how Overwatch's richly imagined characters and world were brought to life through cinematic storytelling.
