Overwatch League events cancelled due to coronavirus fear

It's now official: all Overwatch League events are cancelled in March and April. Paris Eternal Homestand had already been cancelled following the decision of the French government, as well as the events in China and Korea.

Pete Vlastelica — CEO of Activision Blizzard Esports — made it clear that the March and April matches will be held and streamed. Only the events are cancelled. There may be changes to the schedule.

Activision Blizzard Esports confirmed in a press release — published on the official Twitter account — that no events will take place during the two months. For the time being, no other homestands are expected to be cancelled. However, this will depend on the evolution of the pandemic. We'll have more information in the coming weeks.
