The off-season has got off to a hot start, with the 2020 champions making the first move.

Call of Duty League 2021: Clayster dropped from Dallas Empire

Just 48 hours after becoming a back-to-back world champion, it has been revealed that North American veteran James "Clayster" Eubanks has been placed into restricted free agency by the Dallas Empire franchise.

The decision comes just a day after the CDL revealed that Call of Duty esports is reverting back to a 4-versus-4 team structure after being 5-versus-5 for the past two seasons.

With every franchise affected by the switch to 4v4, and with Clayster making his intentions known as early as possible, there are plenty of options that can be made ahead of the release of Black Ops Cold War.
