Overwatch 2 news are coming at Blizzcon Online

During the last developer video dedicated to the announcement of the new Kanezaka map, Jeff Kaplan took the opportunity to give us some information on the upcoming arrival of Overwatch 2. New information should reach us by Blizzcon Online in February 2021.

So much time has passed since we last heard of Overwatch 2. What a surprise when we heard Jeff Kaplan bring up the subject in the developer video on the new Overwatch map: Kanezaka.

The release of this deathmatch map has surprised many. It was known, following Blizzcon of 2019, that there would be no big news in the game during the year 2020 - apart from Echo, the 31st hero of the game long anticipated.

Kanezaka is coming out on PTR servers in December. Jeff Kaplan uses the official map announcement to apologize to players for the lack of content this year on Overwatch. Indeed, he explains that all the efforts of the development team are focused on Overwatch 2.

Blizzard's father of FPS takes the opportunity to clearly announce that we will know more about the new game to come during the month of February, during Blizzcon Online.

He also says that the Overwatch development team is growing so that it can properly meet the growth and creation needs of the FPS.

So things seem to be progressing gradually on the side of the devs of Overwatch and Overwatch 2. We will know - and see - more during Blizzcon Online on February 19 and 20.
