Overwatch: Experimental Patch Notes released

The latest experimental Patch Notes in Overwatch are bringing some balance changes to Orisa, Reaper, Winston and Wrecking Ball.

Overwatch: Experimental Patch Notes released

The new experimental Patch Notes, rolled out on February 11, in the Experimental Mode on Overwatch focus on the balancing the 2-2-2 Role Queue.

So, for the next few weeks you can test the balance changes for Orisa, Winston, Reaper and Wrecking Ball. As always, there’s no guarantee these changes will remain in place.

Hero balances in Experimental Mode

Orisa

Fortify – Prevents critical damage from headshots while the effect is active.

This change will make armor more reliable, avoiding big damage spikes and make it a more effective defensive ability.

Reaper

Hellfire Shotguns – Dispersion reduced from 8 to 6.
Damage per projectile reduced from 7 to 6.

Reaper Shotguns have a high damage potential, but require close range or large targets to be used optimally – the balance extends the range at which he can consistently deal damage while lowering the maximum damage inflicted.

Winston

Redistributed base armor and health from 100/400 to 150/350.

With this change, Winston will resist shotguns, beams, and weapons with a high rate of fire a little better.

Wrecking Ball

Grappling Claw – Knockback strength reduced by 25%.

The knockback effect of Wrecking Ball is too strong for its frequency of use. To balance this the distance that opposing players are pushed back has been reduced to align with other knockback abilities with a shorter cooldown.
