The Overwatch Archives event is here again, running from April 6 to April 27, bringing new challenges to the previous missions we have seen, as well as new skins!
In Overwatch Uprising, players relive Tracer's first mission on the streets of King's Row. In addition to the standard playthrough, there are three challenge missions:
Molten Cores - Enemies drop lava upon death.
Glass Cannon - Players have reduced health and deal increased damage.
[NEW] Bulletproof Barriers - Enemy barriers are invulnerable.
In Overwatch Retribution, players dive into Blackwatch as they fight against Talon. As well as the standard mission, there are three challenge missions to complete.
Surgical Strike - Only critical hits do damage.
Close Quarters - Enemies can only be killed if a player is nearby.
[NEW] Sympathy Gains - Damaging enemies heals other enemies.
Overwatch Storm Rising has the players dive into Havana to pursue Maximilien. With the standard mission comes challenge missions too.
Blood Moon Rising - No Support heroes. Heal yourself by doing damage.
Storm Raging - Some enemies are enraged. Killing them spreads the rage.
[NEW] Thunderstorm - Enemies damage all nearby players.
Players will earn an Archives Loot Box for every first win per mode and challenge.
The event also introduces new Weekly Challenges, awarding Corredor Lucio, Subaquatic Zenyatta, and Camouflage Mercy. Complete Archives Missions to earn stars, which will then unlock icons, sprays and skins!
To go with these skins are a handful of new skins and emotes, as well as previous Archives items being available.
Rounding it out are a few emotes: Bird Feeder for Bastion, Gauging Options for Reaper, and Quick Draw for McCree. You can find the full list of all the new, and old, content here.
For reasons unknown, the Overwatch League will stop celebrating the Most Valuable Players with an honorary skin.
