Protecting your Final Fantasy XIV account can be important, and one of the options to do so is to use the One-Time Password tool. Until now, players could use the Square Enix Token app on their smartphone but Square Enix decided to accept third party passwords manager to help secure more accounts.
From now on, players will be able to use softwares like Google Authentificator, Microsoft Authentificator and more to activate the One-Time Passwords.

This additional security doesn't come alone as players that registered a One-Time password app will — As they already did for a while now — get an in-game bonus.
Once you registered a password app, you will be able to select any aetheryte in the game and register it as a free destination. A great combo with the free tp you get from the return action in the base game.
I personally chose Limsa Lominsa as free destination and Eulmore as my return aetheryte making my tps really cost effective. Add to that the two reduced price TP and you're set for a gil-safe journey.
