Overwatch Anniversary is back for 2021

As Overwatch's fifth birthday approaches, we've got the return of the Anniversary event to celebrate.

In recognition of spending half a decade pushing the payload, the game will have multiple items and skins to earn; on top of opening up skins from previous events.

Until June 8, cosmetics from all of Overwatch's events will be available, allowing players to catch items they missed previously. The last weekend of the event usually also has a double XP available, allowing you to grind and gain even more chests.

The event usually brings quite fun skins, which don't usually have themes, to celebrate the Anniversary; as well as dances to party with. So far, the announced skins are a Funky Baptiste skin, Venus Moira, and Black Cat Sombra.

The event is likely to go live around 8pm CEST if it matches previous ones, so expect more announcements over the next day as we head to the Anniversary 2021 event tonight.
