FIFA 22 is getting closer every day, and EA is dropping information about the new title bit by bit.
The latest is a report from Eurogamer, which confirms that women will be playable in Pro Clubs mode. This mode, where users create their own player and see them grow into a superstar, previously was only open to male players.
According to the report, users will customise their female player and then use them in mixed 11v11 matches. It remains to be seen how much further female inclusion goes in terms of women's clubs and players, but former England international Alex Scott has been confirmed as a commentator.
You can see the female pro in action in the video above, released by EA Sports on its official YouTube channel.
FIFA 22 will be released on October 1, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia and PC.
