The next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV is approaching but another update is planned in the meantime. Indeed, the next version of Windows, Windows 11 is slated for release on October 5th.
This new version of Windows obviously poses its share of questions, and one of them concerns accessibility to games from a computer using the latest version of the operating system.
It is in a message posted today that the Final Fantasy XIV team announced that in view of the release of the new version of Windows, tests are underway to allow players to use Windows 11 and FFXIV.
“We are currently performing operation verifications so that FINAL FANTASY XIV can be played on “Microsoft Windows 11", the next OS to be officially released by Microsoft on Oct. 5, 2021. However, the verification process will require some time.
We will make an announcement when FINAL FANTASY XIV officially begins to support Windows 11."
While Enwalker's release is planned for November 19, it is not yet certain that players will be able to take advantage of the expansion if they have upgraded their computer to Windows 11.
Endwalker is the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, slated for release on November 23. However, you will be able to access all the game's features from November 19 if you have pre-ordered the expansion.
Many changes are to be expected with Endwalker, both with the classes and the already existing features. The new eight-player raid tier "Pandemonium" will also be introduced with the expansion.
