Lost Ark Patch Notes March 17, 2022
Casual Guardian Event
Enjoy Guardian Raids in a more casual way! Relax, play and earn refiner rewards. Balance Balance is applied to modify the character's stats to match the level of the Guardian, and the difficulty is adjusted based on the number of raid participants. Players will be able to face Helgaia, Helgaia Cristallis, Lumerus, Ur'Nil, Vertus, Chromanium, Nacrasena, Legioros Tenebris, Legioros Glacies, Calventus and Levanos! This event will last for about a month, and players with an item level of 250 or higher will be able to participate.
Similar to the Grand Prize, you can enter once per day (per expedition) and earn event-specific coins that you can spend on rewards from a new vendor. Completing the raid on weekdays will grant you 200 coins, and doing it on weekends will grant you 300 coins. This vendor can be found in the main towns near the entrance to this new activity, and will have a full stock of Tier 1, 2, & 3 Refining Material Chests, Smithing & Tailoring Books ( used to increase refinement rates), and a P3 Gem Chest — collectable weekly until the event ends.
COMPETITIVE ORDALY SEASON 1
Competitive Crucible Season 1 will begin after the March 24 shutdown for the weekly update. You will be able to queue solo for the “Team Deathmatch” mode, and compete for prestige and rewards. As you win or lose competitive matches throughout the season, you can track your average competitive match score. Your rank is determined by your score, as are the rewards you'll receive at the end of the season. If you want more details before the update, please see our Competitive Season 1 article.

ADJUSTED ARCHESIA GRAND PRIX REWARDS
- Added Smithing and Tailoring books (used to increase refine rates) to the weekly reward chart.

Increased amounts of weekly Refining materials so players are rewarded for participating.
- Destruction Stone Crystal (Bound) is now available in packs of 50 and can be redeemed up to 10 times.
- Guardian Stone Crystal (Bound) is now available in packs of 150 and can be redeemed up to 10 times. -
Increased the coins earned to make it easier for you to purchase the new items and get the desired rewards. Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids now award 125 coins (up from 100) for the first two daily completions per character. The Grand Prix itself can now award up to 888 coins for daily completion, up from 800 previously.
NEW FRAUD AND BOTS PREVENTION SYSTEM
We continue to listen to player concerns and take a strong stance against bots. In this update, we have included a new prevention system to combat bots and fraudulent purchases. Players who have a Steam account in good standing and have completed the purchase requirements to use Steam's social systems should not be affected. Players who have not achieved this 'trusted' status through Steam or Lost Ark will have reduced access to a small number of social and economic systems. Specifically, these accounts will have lower daily purchase limits on Steam than trusted players and will not be able to:
- Initiate player-to-player trades (requests can still be received)
- Send in-game gifts
- Exchange Royal Crystals for Gold

Our goal is that players can always have fun in Lost Ark, safe from users attempting fraudulent purchases and the negative impact of bots on the economy and player experience. The only dangers in Archesia should be the demonic hordes, ravenous wildlife, and colossal guardians. We try to be both flexible and transparent, to listen to feedback and to create the best experience possible. Remember that real money transactions (RMT), such as buying or selling gold or other in-game items (to players or on secondary markets) are prohibited by our Code of Conduct and are subject to disciplinary action.
We've also added additional improvements to our anti-cheat programs in this update to help prevent cheaters and bots, as well as a few other changes we've developed behind the scenes with Smilegate RPG. We cannot reveal all our secrets, so as not to inform those who engage in these activities. We know this won't solve everything, and we'll continue to track users making fraudulent purchases and bots. If you have any feedback for our teams after directly trying these changes following the weekly update, we'd love to see it on our official forums.

BUGS FIXES
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to accept the "Off to the Races" quest without being level 50.
- Fixed voice chat issues in the South America region.
- Fixed an issue where Adventure Island rewards could only be claimed once during the weekend.
- Fixed an issue with the world boss achievement. Players who previously earned this achievement will now see it as completed.
