Released a little less than two weeks ago, V Rising is already showing very good figures, and we can already speak of a successful launch for the title of Stunlock, which has just passed the symbolic bar of one million players. . In its press release for fans, the publisher also claims that peaks of 150,000 simultaneous players have been observed on the servers. Stunlock thanks his community by taking stock of the launch, and keeps the future in sight.
An appetizing but foggy roadmap
Stunlock's press release embraces the lexical field of vampires, for our greatest pleasure. But behind this literary momentum hides the real problem of a launch almost too successful for an early access . The developers recognize that they have their work cut out to meet expectations. Four central lines of work emerge for the next few days:
- Bug fixes
- Balancing
- Server Optimization
- Improved gaming experience
Keeping up the hype: a real challenge for the studio
Stunlock may not be a super entity in the video game world, but the studio still collects some great launches. It's to keep the hype that things sometimes go wrong. We all remember, for example, the beginnings of Battlerite Royale; a great success in France, with the support of very big streamers who immediately loved the game. They were also campaigning ardently for the deployment of the game in free to play... which does not arrive until February 2019, almost 6 months after the launch on Steam.
For the time being, V Rising continues to store very positive opinions on Steam and free is therefore neither an issue to be addressed, nor a priority in itself. It's a very good game, which can, if it has enough fangs, become a reference sandbox horror survival, with a sustainable community.
