Fatal Fury star Terry Bogard joins the Smash Ultimate roster!

An epic teaser trailer shown during yesterday's Nintendo Direct revealed that the next character to join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster is none other than Fatal Fury's iconic Terry Bogard!

Proving itself yet again as the ultimate destination for video game crossovers, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate adds iconic SNK fighter Terry Bogard to its lineup — doing it in style with a Neo-Geo-era trailer featuring many of his rivals.

Making his debut in the 1991 title Fatal Fury: King of Fighters, Bogard is one of the most famous characters in the FGC canon.

His addition to Smash Ultimate caps a fine few months for SNK, with characters also added to several other fighting games. Samurai Shodown's Haohmaru was announced for Soulcalibur VI, while Bogard's stablemate Geese Howard appears in Tekken 7.

No date has yet been revealed for Bogard's release, with the Direct ad simply stating he is 'in development'.

Banjo & Kazooie available now in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!

Announced during yesterday's Nintendo Direct, the much-loved duo are not available to play in Smash Ultimate!
