In addition to announcements for a new King of Fighters XV and new DLC for Samurai Showdown, SNK also took advantage of Evo 2019 to present a collaboration with the weapon-based Bandai Namco title Soul Calibur VI.
Soulcalibur is no stranger to prestigious guest stars — the game also features 2B from Nier: Automata and Geralt of Rivia, the hero of The Witcher series.
The game will welcome Haohmaru, stepping on the toes of the similar Mitsurugi.
The partnership between the two studios will also go both ways — meaning a character from Soulcalibur will eventually be introduced to the Samurai Shodown roster.
Just before the Top 8 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Arc System Works dropped a new trailer announcing the next episode of Guilty Gear.
