A security flaw was recently discovered on the last three Nintendo consoles (the 3DS, the Wii U and the Switch) and could well endanger the data / performance of the consoles of hundreds of players.

CalledENLBufferPwn , this vulnerability on the Japanese company's consoles is estimated at 9.8/10, which is critical on the CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) scale. In fact, this flaw allows malicious people to execute a code remotely in a console, quite simply through an online game session. By exploiting this vulnerability, a hacker can take full control of a console but also of its functionalities (video recording, microphone, etc.), in order to steal sensitive information. How was it discovered? By hackers on Mario Kart 7.

Fortunately for worried users, a developer by the name of PabloMK7 has managed to make a list of games affected by this famous security flaw. Patches have been made on most of them and if not, it will happen very soon.

- Mario Kart 8 (non-existent patch)

- Splatoon 2 (fix made in version 5.5.1)
- Splatoon 3 (correction made at the end of 2022, in a version not communicated to date)
