A mysterious object
An item was discovered on the Overwatch Ecopoint: Antarctica map. It is a sphere — similar to a snow globe — with the word "GREY" written inside. The item seems to be fixed to a coffee table, and even if you shoot it, it doesn't move or get damaged.
A surprising discovery
The item was discovered by the user reddit u/ForenOW. He explains that he has created a custom game mode in which players must find specific items on each map. On Ecopoint: Antarctica, players had to find 26 items with an Overwatch symbol on it. However, ForenOW received a bug report that a player had found a 27th item not listed by him. In all probability, the item would have been added to Patch 1.40 — released on September 17.
Mei — "Rise and Shine"
A new character announcement?
For many Reddit users, this item seems to echo the announcement of a new character or a new map during BlizzCon 2019 — this was the case for Sombra in 2016, Moira and Blizzard World in 2017, and Ashe in 2018.
The character may be related to Mei, and why not another of the scientists who worked with her on Ecopoint: Antarctica.
