Facing the past is the mission that Dr. Angela Ziegler, aka Mercy in Overwatch, has given herself. The heroine returns to the spotlight with a story that places her as the main character and tells us a little more about her story. The Swiss caretaker will be very present in Overwatch 2 but we knew that she had had big doubts before agreeing to come back to Overwatch — which became too military when she only wanted to work for the good of others.
The story was written by Michael Chu, who wrote for Overwatch as the lead designer of the lore and story and as the game's editor-in-chief. He had previously written the short story entitled Bastet. The illustrations are by the French Nesskain who created a lot of illustrations for the game.
