From restorative dishes to those that grant buffs, what's the best way to level up your Cooking skill in New World? This guide helps budding chefs get their virtual Michelin stars and reach their maximum potential.

New World: Cooking Leveling Guide

This New World trade levelling guide focuses on Cooking, the profession that allows players to serve up a variety of tasty dishes.

While there are several ways to increase proficiency, it will help those who want to level up their Cooking skill without committing too many resources to unnecessary recipes.

NOTE: New World recipes such as those below simply ask for materials of a certain tier or type, such as 'Game Meat' or 'Raw Foods'.

It's entirely up to you which ingredients you use within these categories, although we'd suggest using the ones that are the easiest to source.

Level 1-50

Note: Tutorial quests will require you to craft a Light Ration at the campfire by the beach.

However, this doesn't count towards against the quantities we've listed below.

This recipe requires two different Raw Food ingredients, including the primary Tier 2 Raw Food. You cannot use the same food twice.

Travel Ration x144

Tier II

One Travel Ration requires:

Our only tip is to gather or collect everything you can, so that you have a large stockpile of ingredients.

Tier 2 Raw Foods include the following:

  • Red Meat
  • Firm Fish Filet
  • Strawberry
  • Cranberry
  • Squash
  • Corn
