The world of Disney Dreamlight Valley offers dozens and dozens of quests of different types and also serving distinct purposes. Whether you want to unlock new areas or welcome new inhabitants to your little corner of paradise, it will necessarily go through missions assigned by the residents of the valley. In this guide we will see the different types of quests and what they can do for you.
Story Quests
This is the red thread of the game and you will often have to deal with Merlin if you want to progress in the Dreamlight Valley scenario . This set of quests will contain objectives to be achieved over the long term, since they will quickly require accumulating Dreamlight in order to free up new portions of the valley. These missions sometimes have unclear instructions, or require you to solve short puzzles, as in our example below.
Kingdom Quests
It is through these quest threads that you can offer new inhabitants to join your valley. For the moment there are 17 characters in all and many cult licenses are not represented. Apart from Merlin and The Little Mermaid for older players, the rest of the cast mainly focuses on much more recent licenses. Some choices are quite debatable, but it should nevertheless be remembered that the game is only in early access, its content is destined to greatly evolve over time.
Friendship Quests
Friendship is the resource related to getting along with your neighbors and you can harvest it in many different ways. First of all, removing brambles from oblivion in the company of a character will effectively increase their friendship, but by mining, fishing and farming alongside them, the gauge will also increase: doing all your activities alone is one of the mistakes not to commit when starting out. Every 2 levels, each character will offer you a new quest, linked to their own common threads. Completing these quests gives you even more friendship and therefore opportunities to collect cosmetics from your dwellers.
