Since the thundering arrival of Teamfight Tactics, players have been forced to sit in front of their PCs in order to spend long hours grinding MMR.
However, those days are now over — it is now possible (thanks to a Reddit user guide) to play from your phone or tablet on iOS or Android. Say goodbye to the office chair, and hello to the sofa or even your bed!
Playing TFT on mobile: how does it actually work?
WARNING: With this method, you'll miss the first carousel due to load times. For now, there is no workaround for this.
- Firstly, make sure you have downloaded the Steam client on your PC and the Steam Link App on your mobile device.
- Launch the app and bind your phone/tablet to your PC — you can detect it thanks to the Other Computer menu.
- Once you have bound your PC and the app (you might receive a four-digit password to be entered on Steam), you'll need to add League of Legends to your Steam Library. Go into Games → Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library → Choose League of Legends.
- You might need to download some drivers in order to properly use the streaming mode.
- Launch League of Legends on your PC, log on your account and go into TFT lobby
- Launch streaming from Steam Link
- Go into your Library and select League of Legends
- While the game is loading, you will be able to choose your favorite mode (keyboard/mouse) by clicking on the icon at the top left of the screen.
- You can now enjoy TFT far away from your PC, but remember — you absolutely need to keep Steam open on your computer.
However, we're not going to lie — it's probably easier to play on your computer...
