Gym Mission
Your mission is simple: get the most points by capturing or beating wild Pokémon. Capturing a Pokémon brings more points (2 points). The strategy to adopt is to defeat the Pokémon of the competing Trainer, and then capture the wild Pokémon.
It is a strategic challenge where three choices are available to you:
- Throw a Ball at the wild Pokémon
- Attack the wild Pokémon to reduce its HP and facilitate the capture
- Attack the opponent's Pokémon to kill it and prevent it from harming or capturing the wild Pokémon itself
Trainers to battle:
You don't have to beat the opponent to try to capture the wild Pokémon.
After successfully completing a Gym Mission, it's possible to go out and heal your team at the Pokémon Center.
Defeat Kabu, the Gym Champion
Kabu will give you the Fire badge. It allows you to capture Pokémon up to level 35. You will also get the TM38 Will-o'-the-wisp and the Fire Uniform.
Next objective? Return to the Wild Area to capture stronger Pokémon. Then go to Hammerlocke. But just before, the Water, Grass and Fire Gym Champions come to greet you and... sing a song of encouragement.
