Trainers to battle:__
Going up Outer Spikemuth, you will come across a police officer and a few people who want to access the city. Unfortunately, the doors are closed.
Marnie will call you. To reach her, you have to go along the barrier to the South.
If you want her to tell you how to get to the city, you'll have to beat her first.
Thanks to this fight, you can now continue straight ahead and reach Spikemuth.
Spikemuth Gym
Remember to heal your Pokémon at the Pokémon Center.
Continue to the right.
Marnie will give you Piers' League Card, the Dark Type Gym Leader.
Gym Mission
Immediately afterwards, one of the members of Team Yell will ask you to put on your uniform. The reason? The city is very small and your only direction is the Stadium!
As you progress towards the Gym, you will meet some Grunts to face.
Since most of the opponents' Pokémon are Dark Type, a team of Insect, Fairy and Fighting Type Pokémon is preferred.
Trainers to battle:
Go to the Mr. Mime and go back to the Grunts.
Don't forget to retrieve the Max Revive on the ground.
When Mr. Mime blocks you again, you just have to go back.
When you arrive at the "stadium", you can exchange an Obstagoon for a Mr. Mime, with the man on the top left. As the city is in peril and the stadium is very small, it is impossible to Dynamax your Pokémon here.
Defeat Piers, Spikemuth Gym Leader
You get the Dark Badge, the Dark Uniform and TM85 Snarl.
Pokémon can now be captured up to level 55.
Turns out Piers is none other than Marnie's older brother!
Let's go to Route 9 now to see what's going on! We have to help Leon find out where the strange noise comes from.
You'll have to cross the Tunnel in front of you and return to Hammerlocke.
