The Year of the Phoenix is just around the corner, and the Hall of Fame is already live with this patch 17.0. Illidan is also coming to Battlegrounds, as well as some new features.

Hearthstone: patch 17.0, Illidan joins Battlegrounds and the Hall of Fame returns

Hearthstone is about to experience one of its greatest revolutions with the arrival of the Year of the Phoenix and a tenth class: the Demon Hunter.

While all these new features aren't live yet, they've been preloaded into the client with Patch 17.0 which should be effective as of March 26 , with the exception of the new Ranks and the Demon Hunter prologue.

  • Improved opening of boosters
  • Free deck for new players and returning players
  • Battlegrounds changes: Illidan arrives along with two minions
  • Pantheon and new active Priest cards
  • Improvements to Zephrys
  • Redesign of classified parts → April 1
  • Demon Hunter Prologue → April 2
  • Launching quests for the Year of the Phoenix
