Halfway through Teamfight Tactics' third set, Riot Games revealed their plan for the future of their Auto-Battler, including the new ranked season of Galaxies, a new pass, new champions, and the mobile version.
The Galaxies set will last approximately six months. Riot Games aims to keep the game balanced and continue to make it interesting without constantly modifying the meta. In early June, around patch 10.12, new champions will be added as well as some new types. We should also expect to see some traits and champions removed from the game...
Ranked mode
Riot Games decided to extend the life-time of set admittedly to give players more times to enjoy its features, but overall to split the season into two segments. They feel the changes they will introduce between the two splits are enough to bring about a whole new level of mastery. The leaderboard will be reset and players will start the next split one tier below.
Ranked Rewards
Those who have reached Gold or higher with the Initial set or Rise of the Elements will receive unique Little Legends with patch 10.12. In the future, you will get an emote based on your division after each split.
Galaxies II Pass
A brand new free Galaxies Pass and a new paid Pass + will arrive with the second split. It will be available for 1295 RP shortly after the arrival of patch 10.12.
The new Galaxies pass will include the following exclusives:
- Arena
- Emotes
- Boom!
- Little legends
In addition to the pass, you can also get a new legendary egg containing three new species.
TFT Mobile
During the first month, more than 10 million players were tempted by the mobile version of the game. The goal is to offer mobile players the same functionalities than they could get on PC. The team will work in this direction and add more of these functionalities, such as better parameters, messaging, a store as well as an in-game codex.
The performance of the game will also be improved so that the experience is smooth on most phones. Command accuracy will also be improved to reduce the chance of accidentally attributing items to a champion or selling a unit you wanted to put on the bench.
