What's Teamfight Tactics?
Forget the jungle, positions and roles, here, we are talking about a board game, yes, on a board: "CT is a tactical game with several rounds, where you will challenge 7 opponents. The objective of this game mode is to gather a powerful team who fights for you. Your objective: be the last one alive."
In each round, you will spend your gold coins to get new champions for your team, which will become more and more powerful during the game (you will find who share origins and classes to unlock additional bonuses). If you gather one same champion 3 times, you will get an upgraded version, combine the 3 upgraded versions and you will unlock the ultimate one.
You will then move your champions towards the opponent's board, and he will do the same to you so that the fight will start. During the battle, your champions move, attack and automatically cast spells. It's up to you to create the best strategy, the best team to defeat your opponents.
There will be special events in which players will be and they will have to choose among a list of champions: "Players will choose one after the other, depending on their ranking: the lasts of them will choose first, it will give them a chance to turn the tide. Win team games regularly to avoid losing HP and inflict damage on your opponents."
Little pets for TT
In order to make this new game mode funnier, a new choice arrives in League of Legends: small legends. They will be your avatar in the game mode, they will dance, use emotes and... boast. After some games, a small legend will be unlocked.
Once your first legend will be unlocked, you will be able to get some others in the shop for 750RP. There will be 6 of them for the release.
As for skins and chromas, new legends will be regularly added in the shop. Rare eggs will also be sold for 490RP. Rare eggs have special versions of legends, that we added something more: is the rare egg has a version you already own, it will be granted stars, the same way of the champions in TT. Effects and models will then evolve over time. Once a species gets to level 3, you won't be able to get it in the next rare eggs you will hatch.
Those little creatures will come alongside you in the Howling Abyss and will be your most supportive friends. More information about them is likely to be soon communicated.
Why this game mode?
If you already know DotA Auto Chess, Teamfight Tactics should look familiar to you. Riot Games are well aware of that, they wanted to create a tactical game mode with automatic fights for League of Legends, TT was born!
The alpha version of the game mode will be available in Oceania since June 25 2019, in Europe since June 26 and in other world regions since June 27!
TT will be launched in beta version with patch 9.13, but Riot Games are ambitious. A ranked TT mode should arrive with the patch 9.14. You got it, TT is created to be a permanent game mode!
