This year for the All-Stars event, Overwatch teams played online and spread across two regions: North America and Asia.
Both events were held prior to the Grand Finals weekend. These two events were broadcast live and available on demand on the official YouTube channel, website, and app.
Widowmaker 1v1 winner
The first challenge was dedicated to Widowmaker, with a final showdown between Soon and Linkzr. The pair went back and forth until they wound up in an 8-8 tie.
Linkzr sealed victory in the final round with a clutch shot, and with it the $15,000 top prize.
Bridowmaker Boss Battle
Linkzr didn’t waste any time in dispatching Bren in a quick 5-0, in which Bren didn’t even manage to land a single shot. Yikes!
All-Star Game winner
For the final event, the All-Star Game featured a battle between Team D.Va, drafted by Florida Mayhem head coach Dae-Kuk “Kuki” Kim, and Team Reinhardt, drafted by Philadelphia Fusion head coach Dong-Gun “KDG” Kim.
Team Reinhardt finally ended the longest map in the history of the game to take bragging rights for the All-Star Game and the $75,000 top prize.
