It's now been two years since Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on consoles and just one year since its PC release. However, the game is far from losing popularity, with the online mode continuing to prove popular among fans.
Now, Rockstar have announced that from December 1, Red Dead Online will be available as a standalone game on each of the various platforms. This means that new players who don't already own Red Dead Redemption 2 can experience what the online version has to offer in its entirety, independent of Story Mode.
A special introductory price will be in effect until February 15 — players can pick up Red Dead Online for just $4.99 on either the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.
After this date, the price will rise to $19.99. .
You'll need to free up a hefty chunk of space on your hard drive — Rockstar have revealed that the game will require 123 GB. Players will also have the option of unlocking Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode for an additional cost.
