While Final Fantasy XIV's servers are still under maintenance until tomorrow, the complete and updated Patch Notes for patch 5.4 have been released.
In this update, the FFXIV team announced that a bug, discovered recently could change the race to world first this time.
In fact, the Belts and Accessories obtained in Matoya's Relict new dungeon and Eden's Promise new raid will have two material sockets instead of one.
As explained in their message, the bug was discovered right before the release of Patch 5.4 meaning the team did not have time to change it.
The team decided that this gear will go live like this and apologized for the inconvenience.
The game's team also explained that, as always, the fully melded Exarchic crafter gear would still be comparable or more effective than these two sockets belts and accessories.
This issue mainly affects players that try to get the best gear as fast as possible and I personally don't blame the team as the bug was only discovered recently and I have nothing against one more socket on my gear, to be honest.
Patch 5.4 of Final Fantasy XIV is coming tomorrow after the maintenance.
