During the last Producer Live Letter, Naoki Yoshida, producer & director for Final Fantasy XIV came back on the issues of the Omega statues.
If you missed it, Square Enix introduced some new figures of the female & male version of Omega back in 2020. The figures, selling for around $230, also unlock an exclusive in-game emote.
However, some players already received their statue in Japan, and are not quite satisfied with it.
Yoshi-p explained the reason why some of the figures looked off compared to the preview is in fact due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Not able to go to China to directly check on the quality, some of the resulting figures deviated from the original models.
With a lot of players concerned about the quality of the figure, Naoki Yoshida made clear that it is possible for players to contact the support directly to see if an exchange was possible.
