The premise of this new, temporary Genshin Impact event is simple — release lanterns, which leads to some nice rewards for Travelers.
During the event, you can release Xiao Lanterns on the special web page. Each time you do this, you'll be rewarded with a Little Gift Box, which contains a random amount of Mora and other 'small presents'.
Once you've released five different lanterns, you can share in the Grand Primogem Prize. A random number of Primogems is rewarded.
PC and mobile players will need to sign into their account on the special webpage, while PlayStation users have a slightly different process.
Simply go to your in-game mailbox and click the special event link. Then, use your phone's camera to scan the QR code and directly participate.
Should your camera not support QR codes, you can download a third-party app that performs this function.
