Pokémon Legends: Arceus will take place in a new region, Hisui, and will introduce several brand-new Pokémon to the franchise.
The first action-based title in the main series, we got to see more of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in the recent Pokémon presents.
What's new in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
A new trailer shows off some of the features of the title, including new capture, combat and exploration systems.
There are also several new Pokémon, both regional variations of existing Pokémon and those never-before-seen.
Trainers will travel across the Hisui region -- the ancient name for Sinnoh -- in a game that promises a greater narrative.
You can watch the new trailer below:
A revamped combat system means Pokémon will no longer necessarily take turns to attack. Some will be able to act twice in a row thanks to their speed or movement. You'll be able to see the turn queue in the top-right of the screen.
Exploration and capture sees a significant change. The main objective is to complete the first ever Pokédex, a task that will come with changes to the combat system and will include a crafting system.
In addition, there will be changes that will bring variety to catching Pokémon. For example, you won't always be required to fight, and each creature will act differently -- they can even attack you directly.
Finally, there will be brand new Pokémon. Among them will be new evolutions of existing Pokémon, such as Wyrdeer (Stantler) and Basculegion (Basculin).
In addition, there will be Hisui forms of Pokémon such as Braviary and Growlithe.
