After the process of testing exclusively for players who have pre-ordered the game, New World will finally get an open beta.

Gamescom 2021: New World gets open beta date

Despite problems throughout its development, New World the recent closed beta was a resounding success for Amazon Games. Now, an open beta phase has been announced, and will take place from September 9-12, allowing all players to test the new MMO.

With the final release date currently scheduled for September 28, the beta is one last chance to get feedback from players, who can gain access through Steam as long as they can play on servers in North America, Australia, South America or Europe.

Players who took part in the closed beta will see progress wiped, with the full launch of the game being a clean slate for all.
