Genshin Impact update 2.6 will bring an area that has been awaited for some time in the west of Liyue and today we offer you to return to the important information about this place called the Chasm.
How to access the Chasm and what are its mechanisms?
To access the Chasm, you must have done the world quest “Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering”.
The Chasm is a mining area in which you will find elevators left by the miners, but also rocks capable of propelling you to high places. These kinds of geysers are called spitting rocks.
The second mechanism that you will find will be necessary to go to the area. These are the Bedrock Keys that must be destroyed to break the seal of the Seven Stars. For this, you can count on the Geo Coalescences which will be there to allow you to fire crystal projectiles which will have to be sent towards the keys.
Now let's talk about the strange rock pillars which have the particularity of being able to resonate with other Geo constructions if they undergo sufficiently heavy shocks. One thing for sure is that this area will require you to use the Geo element for its puzzles and these pillars will come in handy for you to solve some of them.
The chasm also has strange stones called the "Unique Stone" that have one or more symbols inscribed on them. Their usefulness is related to the Geo resonance and the pillars. We can therefore expect to have to activate the resonance on these rocks to pass puzzles. Note that the number of symbols corresponds to the number of resonance it can receive in a short time.
To finish on the mechanisms, activating some of them can create triangles in the air which can lead you to a chest if you follow them.
Gadgets, materials and black mud
In this part, we are going to come back to the new gadget "Lumenstone Adjuvant". First of all, you should know that the gadget is not usable outside the mines of the Chasm. The latter will clarify your passage, but beware of its energy which will decrease over time. It will therefore be necessary to ensure that the gauge is not empty. To restore it, you can rely on Fireflies , Fairies or Lumen Lamps.
Upgrading the Lumen Stone Adjuvant can be done at the Jinwu Workbench using Lumen Crystals and Ore that you find during your exploration within the Chasm.
The gadget can acquire a power, once a certain level is reached, which will allow you to destroy slimy concretions. This power is called Blossoming Light. Since we talked about slimy concretions, we must talk about the effect they have on the ground. Indeed, they generate black mud which will make you lose HP, reduce the energy of your gadget and which will slow you down, but that's not all since some creatures will see their power increased when in contact with this famous mud.
Creatures from the depths of the Chasm
The new main monster in this area is the Serpent of the Ruins which will be an elite monster (mini-boss) and will need to be farmed for future characters. This creature will attack you by laying down slimy concretions that you must destroy before it can use them to use devastating attacks. The blooming light will be a great asset against this enemy. In addition, the crystals present on the area having a Geo resonance, a character of this type may also be useful.
Other creatures are available and among them, some can be captured such as the firefly or the lightning weasel. A new local product is appearing and it will have to be farmed for future heroes or heroines later. Finally, here is the other monster that may cause you concern, the Knight of the Black Serpent - Windbreaker, which will have the ability to buffer itself by sacrificing its HP if it hits an enemy with a shield.
It's hard to find a more divisive character than Paimon in Genshin Impact. Certainly very cute and kind, the little cherub that follows us everywhere nevertheless has the annoying habit of talking too much.
