Lion King Update: Release Date
Based on the game's September 6 release time, the update is also expected to roll out on October 19, 2022 . However, this is only a guess and we may have it in the morning. As soon as the information is communicated, we will update this article.
Everything you can expect from the update
What is officially confirmed
- Scar will appear as the 18th character in the game: you can complete friendship quests with him and lead him up to Level 10 to earn exclusive rewards
- A new Way of the Stars (Battle Pass) will be available but we don't know its content yet!
- Scar is "the chaos of the village" according to Josh Labelle, the game's world designer,
- You will be able to interact and pet your Critters as a Companion,

Many bugs will also be fixed via the update such as problems with data loss and therefore progress (saving), problems with Founder's Pack rewards not being found, crashes on consoles. About forty patches are currently planned: this ranges from optimization on PS4 (rip the Nintendo Switch) to the correction of the Wall-E quest with the famous blocked light bulb through the improvement of the Photo mode !
What we assume thanks to the clues on the official image
- We will be able to unlock the Pillar of the Sunny Plateau,
- We will be able to improve our Pickaxe to break the bones of the biome, free chests and especially the passage from the bridge to the waterfall,
- Similarly, the Plateau biome will be fully accessible: this includes finally being able to fish for fish like Walleye,
- We will obviously have quests between Scar and Ursula, but also with Wall-E: this must be part of the main scenario which will continue,
- We can finally start taming the Ravens of the Forgotten Lands
What is assumed thanks to the data of the game
- Scar probably lives in the Elephant Graveyard but it will be possible to build him a house,
- Other Lion King characters should be added in this update or a future one: Rafiki, Timon, Pumba, Nala, Simba
- Two items could be activated: Fishing Bait and Fertilizer ,
- The Fairy Godmother who lives in the Pumpkin House of the Forgotten Lands could also be unlocked at the same time as Scar
