Items and gold drops are a touchy subject when talking about Teamfight Tactics — especially because it often seems that gaining gold is deeply unfair compared to a player who dropped an item. In a recent Tweet, Lead Designer Riot Mort explains that you could end up in eight different spots.
Following the first three PvE rounds, several situations can occur:
- It's obviously more beneficial to drop two or three items instead of one item and a few gold.
- In the extreme case where you earn nine gold, you will be able to quickly build your economy — gaining an advantage over your opponents.
- In most cases, you will drop one or two items, and a few gold. This kind of start is the most common, but it does not mean that it's the best.
Keep in mind that:
- Krugs, Wolves, and Raptors will always give you "one or several items" OR "5 gold"
- Endgame PvE rounds such as Dragon, Rift Herald and Elder Dragon will always give you 'one crafted item".
Rise of the Elements will soon make way to Galaxies, which means their reign is about to end — but for now, they remain at the top.
