Healing items

Finishing a confrontation with two life points is usually very funny until you think about the next confrontation, and then it becomes very worrying. Don't worry, we can treat ourselves in Fortnite, and we will explain how.

Bandages

  • Duration: 4 seconds
  • Total healing: 15

Bandages are the most common healing items, and you can carry up to 15 in the same inventory space. In exchange for these benefits, a bandage only gives 15 points of life, asks you not to do anything else for 5 seconds, and most importantly, cannot be used if you are at or above 75 points of life. So you will never be able to heal yourself completely with them.

Medkit

  • Time to use: 10 seconds
  • Total healing: 100

Medkits are rare, but it is worth all the bandages in the world since it will give you back all your heal points in one use. Only one disadvantage: its long activation time. Make sure you are safe before using it.

Shield Potion

  • Time to use: 5 seconds
  • Total restoration: 50

Not a healing item, but an infinitely precious item. A healing potion fills your shield bar with 50 points. All players start the game with their shield bar at 0, which can go up to 100 and potions are the only way to fill it. When you take damage your shield bar will cash it in instead of your life bar until it is empty.

Potions are unusual drops, but not really rare. Always take shield potions that you see because once you have completely filled your shield bar it will be like walking around with two life bars.

Small Shield Potion

  • Time to use: 2 seconds.
  • Total restoration: 25
  • Unusable if shield greater than or equal to 50.

Between its low activation time, and the possibility of stacking up to 10 on the same inventory location, the small shield potion has clearly been designed to be taken into battle and drunk while it gets hot.

You're in the middle of a shooting exchange, you pick up one or two bullets, your shield gauge empties, take shelter, empty a small potion, and it's on again.

The only weakness of the small shield potion is that it cannot raise your shield gauge above 50.

The small shield potion is uncommon (green) and is found on the ground, in chests and in supply drops.

Chug Jug

  • Time to use: 15 seconds
  • Total healing: 100
  • Total restoration: 100

Clearly the strongest healing item in the game: all your heal points are immediately reset. Well, "immediately" could be an exaggeration since it will take you 15 seconds to empty the Chug Jug and enjoy its effects. Hide in a corner or hope that your squad keeps an eye on you to use it. The Chug Jug is of legendary rarity, the chests and especially supply drops represent your best chance to get your hands on it.

Slurp Juice

  • Time to use: 2 seconds
  • Total healing: 70
  • Total restoration: 70

The second healing item implanted in the game, slurp juice is a regenerating potion that restores one point of life and one point of shield per second for 25 seconds.

Although its effect is very slow, Slurp Juice has the immense advantage of being able to heal beyond 75 points of life. It is therefore the perfect item to carry with a few bandages to finish recovering all your health points.

Slurp Juice is of epic rarity (violet).

Launch Pad

Jump on it to jump high in the air and above all: open your glider. The Launch Pad is the only way to use your glider after the beginning of the game. Since the glider offers a high degree of freedom of movement, the uses of the Launch Pad are numerous: crossing a chasm, storming an enemy base, passing behind an opponent (players rarely look up) or fleeing a dangerous situation.

Be very careful not to be under a tree (or any other object) when using it: any collision will close your glider.

The Launch Pad is of epic rarity (purple).

Bush

The game's first camouflage item: the Bush gives you the appearance of one of the charming bushes that bloom all over the map. Since a plant attracts much less attention than a fighter running around and shooting in the air, you can surprise the unwary player.

However, the Bush has some defects: it can obstruct your vision when you aim, and especially unlike a natural bush in which you can turn on yourself without attracting too much attention: the bush turns at the same time as you, making you easily spotted if you do not stay in place.

If the disguise does not prevent you from moving around, avoid doing it too much, mobile plants tend to attract attention. Finally, know that the slightest point of damage received will make your disguise disappear.

The Bush is of legendary rarity (orange).
