Beach Assault is a mode inspired by the Normandy landings and will put you alternatively in attack and in defense to launch or repel a beach assault.
The attackers must cross the beach and invade the enemy base to destroy their cannon. The defenders must last 15 minutes without the cannon being destroyed.
If both teams succeed in destroying the cannon during their attack phase, the winning team will be the one that destroys it the fastest.
Defenders are assisted in their task by robot "sentries" that will automatically fire on the attackers but can be destroyed. The attackers must get rid of the sentries in order to cross the beach.
The attackers will have to eliminate the sentries and destroy scenery elements to be able to progress, if they advance sufficiently on the map their respawn point is also advanced, they can join the battle faster.
Tips and tricks
In attack
- Don't waste a second at the beginning of the game and start eliminating sentries before the defenders have taken their firing positions. It will be much more difficult to eliminate the sentries once the defenders have started firing.
- Open chests on the beach in which you can find Semi-Auto Sniper Rifles, the best weapon to destroy the sentries. You can also find Light Machine Guns that are excellent to destroy the cannon.
- Once on the base walls, destroy the main gate to get a direct shooting line on the cannon. Also remember to destroy the fire drums on the sides to open the way to the mines, which will allow you to exit at the back of the base and perhaps behind your opponents' backs.
- The cannon has many life points. Once a line of fire has been cleared towards it, it is more useful to use your time to inflict damage on it than to try to eliminate defenders.
In defense
- Find chests at the top of the defensive wall, these contain Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles that are extremely effective in preventing attackers from crossing the beach.
- Place members of your team in the tunnels to avoid being bypassed.
- At the end of the game, do not hesitate to advance towards the point of reappearance of the attackers and to bring the fight towards them. Otherwise they will be able to ignore the defenders and fire freely on the cannon.
