In this article, we break down the perfect loadout to use in the recently released CDL Playlist on Modern Warfare. Based on what several of the professional players use, this loadout is perfect for doing everything on the map.
This loadout suits all three game modes that feature in the Call of Duty League, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy and Domination. This particular class will have you succeeding in no time at all!
Loadout Overview
Primary Weapon
The MP5 sub-machine gun is the strongest SMG in the entire game. It excels in close-quarters combat but with a bit of control, it can still be used at longer ranges. It is important to get the right balance when it comes to selecting attachments. Make sure you have 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags equipped for some additional damage!
Secondary Weapon
When using the MP5, speed and mobility is key so selecting the Combat Knife as your secondary weapon allows you to navigate the map quickly.
Grenades
For the hectic respawn modes, Semtex is the grenade of choice but in S&D it can be swapped for a Frag Grenade, which can be cooked to make it difficult for the opponent to avoid. Like the lethal equipment, tacticals can also be altered. Stun Grenades are essential in respawn modes while a Smoke Grenade in S&D may prove to be more use when pushing a bombsite or to obstruct a line of sight on the map.
Field Upgrades
The current metagame means that you have the choice between Dead Silence and a Trophy System. When making a flank, Dead Silence makes your footsteps silent, allowing you to get behind enemy lines while a Trophy System is essential for blocking any incoming projectiles that may be used to halt your progress on a Domination flag.
Killstreaks
There is a very good reason as to why there are no killstreaks in competitive play. The players deem them to be overpowered therefore they are placed under the "Gentlemen's Agreement"
With that said, most professional players opt to use Specialist, a system that gives you perks rather than killstreaks. The best combination of perks is as follows:
- Double Time (2 Kills)
- Battle Hardened (4 Kills)
- Scavenger (6 Kills)
Perks
The current meta sometimes varies depending on what game mode is being played. For example, Hardpoint and Domination often sees grenades hurled at the objectives so equipping EOD and Battle Hardened as the first and third perks is the key. For S&D, EOD may be swapped out for Double Time for increased Tactical Sprint speed and Battle Hardened may be changed for Tune Up to increase the recharge rate of Field Upgrades
