There are several different currencies in the game and this can potentially confuse you, here is a guide to help you understand how each currency available in Genshin Impact works.

The different currencies

There are a whole bunch of different currencies that are used for your characters but not only. Check them out below:

Mora

Rarity: 3 stars

Obtain: Quests, monsters, chests, event, login bonus, battle pass, adventurer rank reward

Base currency of the game that will serve you everywhere.

Masterless Stardust

Rarity: 4 stars

Obtain: Summon

Stardust can be redeemed for various rewards in the shop. You can collect stones to make wishes, moras or even materials.

Masterless Starglitter

Rarity: 5 stars

Obtain: Summon

Starglitter can be exchanged for various rewards in the shop. You can collect stones to make wishes, weapons, characters or even materials.

Primogem

Rarity: 5 stars

Obtain: Chests, Quests, Event, Login Bonus, Discovery, Battle Pass, Adventurer Level Reward

Currency used to obtain Intertwined and Acquaint Fates.

Genesis Crystal

Rarity: 5 stars

Obtaining: In-game purchase, paid packs

The Genesis Crystal is used to buy supply packs or can be exchanged for primogems.

$4.99 - 300 Genesis Crystals
$14.99 - 980 Genesis Crystals
$29.99 - 1980 Genesis Crystals
$49.99 - 3280 Genesis Crystals
$99.99 - 6480 Genesis Crystals

Wishing Currencies

Acquaint Fate

Rarity: 5 stars

Obtaining: Exchange Primogems or by leveling up your Adventure Rank + certain Battle Pass levels

Acquaint Fate can be used for Standard Wishes and Beginners' Wish.

Intertwined Fate

Rarity: 5 stars

Obtaining: Exchange Primogems or by leveling up your Adventure Rank + certain Battle Pass levels (Premium only)

Intertwined Fate can be used for Limited/Event Wishes.

Sigils

There are other currencies that are secondary but may be of interest to you. These are the elementary sigils (Anemo, Geo etc.)

You can get them in expeditions and by various means such as in certain chests or via the statues of the Seven.

Where to exchange them

For Anemo sigil, you have to go to the City of Mondstadt.

For the Geo sigil, you have to go to the town of Liyue.
