The eel is a freshwater fish. It's possible to find it in the five English regions of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and fishing is the only way to find them efficiently. In the game, you don't have to fish to advance in the story, but the offering altars will often ask you to bring back fish or animal parts.
How to fish eel?
If you haven't already done so, go to Ravensthorpe to create the Fishing Hut. This will allow you to have a net to be able to catch fish on any river in Norway or England.
To have the Fishing Hut, you'll need primary resources that you can get through raids, marked in red on your map.
Eel location
Freshwater fish and very common, you can find it everywhere in ponds, lakes and streams:
- Ledecestrescire
- Grantebridgescire
- East Anglia
- Oxenefordscire
- Sciropescire
Eels don't travel in schools, so use your assassin's vision to be able to identify which fish are moving in the stream you're following. The video at the top of the article will show you the shape the highlighted fish takes after Odin's vision. Its shape is long, so it can be difficult to see it.
