In Monster Hunter Rise, most of the small animals will help you in some way during your fights, but Lizards have their own way of doing things. Finding them and giving them a gentle kick will cause them to drops stones and other ores when hit, the quality of which will depend on your progress in the adventure and the type of Lizard.
Located in the central area of Kamura, Hanenaga will end up giving you the first request of a long series: taking a picture of a Rock Lizard. Beware: you need this sub-race of Lizards specifically and not a Rock Lizard. The Rock Lizard being sky blue, you may have to find several lizards before you get the right one.
Where to find Lizards
Unlike most wildlife, lizards do not have completely fixed positions marked on the map. They have favorite spots where they can often be found, but as well as the type of lizard present, there's no guarantee. You'll usually find them in high areas like on rocks or trees. The best thing to do is to simply ride around the map on your Palamute's back.
Shrine Ruins
Recurring position of several lizards in the Shrine Ruins area. You can check them out in Expedition mode, or during a normal hunt.
