Information

To get the quest, you need to talk to Senri the Mailman. The quest takes place in Frozen Islands and lasts about 50 minutes. It will require you to hunt a Somnacanth who appears in area 8.

The Somnacanth uses its sleeping powder to fight. He will project it in different forms to try to put you to sleep: by swimming in a circle, blowing and sweeping the area, and finally unleashing a huge "explosion" that will send powder over a large area around it. The powder explosion can be intimidating at first since the preparation phase makes it very clear on the screen that something big is coming. Instead of running away, you should take the opportunity to attack his tail.

Somnacanth

A formidable aquatic serpent that crests on moonlit nights--likely why it has often been mistaken for a mermaid. It expels an intoxicating sleep powder from its neck gills and tail, knocking out prey before it can resist. Some Somnacanth sightings tell of this species making use of unusual shells, so exercise caution if catch one swimming towards you with a shell in its claws.
