Wirefiber is a plant found in the wilds of New World which players can farm for the key resource of the same name.
A tall green plant with striking red flowers, it is found rarely. However, there are a few notable clusters.
Here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Wirefiberin New World.
What do you need Wirefiber for in New World?
A Tier V resource used for Weaving, you'll need to harvest plenty of Wirefiber. These are used to create Infused Silk, a Tier V cloth. This is then used in a number of Armoring, Weaponsmithing, Engineering and Furnishing recipes.
In order to harvest Wirefiber plants, you'll need a Harvesting Sickle. There's a level cap of 175 you have to reach in Harvesting, and you'll be able to track Wirefiber nodes from Harvesting Skill Lv. 200.
We always recommend reaching the tracking cap before attempting to farm nodes, so that you're not running around blind.
The best locations to farm Wirefiber in New World
Be prepared to up your level in pursuit of Wirefiber, as the best farming spots are in rather dangerous zones...
The valleys of Edengrove
Fast travel into the shrine at the aptly-named Gatherer's Road. There's a load of nodes that follow the river from east of the shrine to the north.
The best thing to do is to head directly north from the shrine to Ruined Straits, pick up the nodes on the east shore of the river, then follow it south. The density of nodes will increase as you travel into Blightcrown, with the route ending just outside Knot Rust.
Taking a tour of Brightwood
There are many Wirefiber nodes in Brightwood, but this route is by far the most drawn-out. They're found in smaller clusters around the Fort, and there's no ideal place to start.
Perhaps a good idea is to fast travel into Wolfbough Shrine, then perform a wide clockwise circle around the Fort -- heading towards the Settlement, arcing down towards Holm's Anguish, back west as far as Ballard's Manor, then north to Shields Hallows.
Southern Ebonscale Reach
Fast travel into Ebsonscale Reach Hamlet, and leave via the south-eastern gate. Follow the path as if you were heading for the Fire Shrine to pick up a couple of straggling nodes, then arc southwest to Euphorcea.
On the western side of that location there's a cluster of several nodes, before you head back up the road towards the Settlement. It won't take long, but there's less density than in Edengrove.
Two small clusters in Reekwater
There's no real respite for lower level players seeking Wirefiber. Those in their mid-50s and above can take advantage of two small clusters in Reekwater should they not want to spend too much time travelling.
The first is east of the Eternal Pool, north of the Settlement, while the other surrounds the Time's Advantage shrine for fast traveling.
