Blightroot is a plant found in the wilds of New World which players can harvest for the following Death Reagents:
- Death Mote
- Blightroot Stem
- Blightroot Leaf
- Blightroot Flower
Tall, bulbous plants that spew an ominous green gas, they are plentiful in five or six territories of Aeternum.

What do you need Blightroot for in New World?
Death Motes are used in a whole load of concoctions, including coatings, potions, tinctures, and the cutting of Sapphire and Moonstone gemstones. It is also a key resource in crafting the Eternal Heart, a mid-level reagent in ultimately creating Amrine Tuning Orbs, Genesis Cores, and Energy Cores.
The various parts of the Blightroot plant are also used in Arcana concoctions.
In order to harvest Blightroot, you'll need a Harvesting Sickle. There's a level requirement of 30 to harvest them, and you'll be able to track Blightroot nodes from Harvesting Skill Lv. 45.

The best locations to farm Blightroot in New World
As mentioned, Blightroot plants are plentiful in a handful of Aeternum's territories. These are the clusters we think are best for power-farming.
Farside Township - Monarch's Bluffs
You'll find plenty of Blightroot surrounding the Farside Township, located in the east of Monarch's Bluffs.
The nearest fast travel point is Achernar Gate to the north.
Faith's Bounty - Everfall
There's several Blightroot nodes in the Faith's Bounty region of Everfall, specifically the area between the Lupus and Arcturus obelisks.
This is perfect for quick runs, as Everfall settlement is just to the south of Lupus.
Weaver's Fen
The Weaver's Fen territory is quite literally teeming with Blightroot.
Undoubtedly the best cluster is on the northern side of the North Vega Bridge, to the northeast of the Weaver's Fen settlement.
Windsward
The best place for a smash-and-grab farming session, you'll find plenty of nodes in the woods right outside the Windsward settlement, to the north.
Just follow the path out of the northern exit, and keep going through the woods until you reach Cygnus.
