Lifemoths are a special type of harvestable creature found in the wilds of New World, which players can gather for Life Motes and Lifemoth Eyes.
Taking the form of a bright glowing moth sitting on a tree branch, these rare creatures are best found in four clusters.
Here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Lifemoths in New World.
What do you need Lifemoths for in New World?
Life Motes are used in a range of concoctions, including coatings and potions and the cutting of Onyx and Diamond gemstones. It is also a key resource in crafting the Eternal Heart, a mid-level reagent in ultimately creating the Amrine Tuning Orb, Genesis Core, and Energy Core.
The rare item Lifemoth Eyes is also used in high-level Arcana concoctions.
There's no tool requirements for gathering Lifemoths, but you'll need Harvesting Skill Lv. 175 to be able to track them.
The best locations to farm Lifemoths in New World
These are the clusters we think are best for power-farming Lifemoths.
Monarch's Bluffs
For low-level players, there are still a decent number of Lifemoths available in Monarch's Bluffs.
Tracing a path north from Silverclaw Cave to the Adamant Mine, then Howltower Hollow and across the border into Everfall towards the Shattered Obelisk is the best route.
Edengrove
There's a fantastic cluster in Edengrove, centered on the Cruel Vista.
Head in a straight line from just north of Panellus towards the Last Stand Outpost for best results.
Ebonscale Reach
Lifemoths are found all over Ebonscale Reach, but are quite spread out. If you're questing in the area it's good for gathering, but otherwise it's an inefficient farming spot.
Shattered Mountain
While there are a fair few nodes in the east of the region, the best route is north-to-south, in the western half.
Start at the Desolate Cliffs and follow the path towards Mountainhome, then keep heading southwards.
