Earthshell Turtles are a special type of harvestable creature found in the wilds of New World, which players can gather for Earth Motes and Earthshell Tails.
Taking the form of a large turtle with flowers growing from its shell, these rare creatures are best found in four clusters.
Here's what you'll need and where the best areas are to find Earthshell Turtles in New World.
What do you need Earthshell Turtles for in New World?
Earth Motes are used in a whole load of concoctions, including potions and coatings, and the cutting of Emerald and Amber gemstones. It is also a key resource in crafting the Elemental Heart, a mid-level reagent in ultimately creating Tuning Orbs and Voidbent Ingots.
The rare item Earthshell Tail is also used in high-level Arcana concoctions.
There's no tool requirements for gathering Earthshell Turtles, but you'll need Harvesting Skill Lv. 175 to be able to track them.
The best locations to farm Earthshell Turtles in New World
These are the clusters we think are best for power-farming Earthshell Turtles.
Reekwater
There are two good farming spots for Earthshell Turtles in Reekwater. The first is just north of the Time's Advantage shrine, between Fisher's Glory and Lambent Muskeg.
The second is southwest of the Siren's Run shrine, around Sha Makogai and on the coastal path to Forecastle Drift.
Given the clusters' proximity to fast travel points, this is the ideal place for farming.
Edengrove
Also near to a fast travel point, you can head into the Elysian Shrine and follow the path west to the Genesis of Malevolence area. there's plenty of nodes in a south-north line.
Ebonscale Reach
Take the path east from the settlement to the Moss Mire area. You'll find plenty of nodes surrounding the Earth Shrine, which makes sense really.
Shattered Mountain
There's also a nice cluster of nodes in the Blighted Wilds area of Shattered Mountain.
The easiest route is to keep going north from the Edengrove farming route, following the path past the Gatherer's Road shrine and through Preservation Pass into the territory.
