If you're looking to power-up your Yelan here is our complete guide from artifacts to main stats and weapons.

Version 2.7 of Genshin Impact is now here and it brings its share of new features among which you will find new characters. Yelan is one of them and we will find out how to play her through this guide.

Yelan, a DPS who can become your Support

Before we get to the nitty-gritty, you should know that Yelan is a 5-star rarity character who uses a bow and whose Divine Eye has the Hydro element . Once this information is in mind, we can launch into the analysis of this mysterious woman that you will come across in the area of the Chasm. At first glance, you will think that it is still a Hydro archer and you are right, but it is very different from a Tartaglia (or Childe).

Indeed, where the difference is easily seen is in his skill set. His elemental skill allows him to sprint while creating a vital line that explodes at the end of his movement and his burst that allows him to do area damage while creating a die that will be used to create reactions with other characters more easily without Yelan being in the field.

Yelan has some peculiarities that must be taken into account when wanting to play her. First, she can go into a Breakthrough state which reduces the charge time of her next charged shot by 80% and once charged, the damage of the arrow fired is area damage. Then, Yelan inflicts damage according to his attack, but especially according to his maximum of his HP .

As for the passives she has, the first allows her to gain a percentage of Max HP based on the number of items in your team . This percentage can go up to 30%. The second talent allows him to play a slightly more supportive role since if a die is active, the character's damage on the ground increases by 1% then by 3.5% every second and this effect can go up to 50%. . Her third passive is much less interesting if you want to play her since it concerns Liyue's expeditions. It increases the rewards there by 25% if the expedition lasts 20 hours.

As you will have understood, Yelan is a basic DPS and who can do her role, but she can also serve as a Sub DPS by offering a little more support to your team. You can also use it only to create reactions thanks to its burst, that's another possibility, but in this case it will be used only for the purpose of being a Xingqiu-style support without the option of being able to heal . In our case, we recommend her instead as a replacement for Xingqiu.

Skill Enhancement Priority Order

If you want to invest in Yelan, you will need to improve his skills and to help you, here is the order in which you will have to increase them:

  1. Ult
  2. Skill
  3. Normal attack

The other two Constellations provide a level up to Elemental Skill or Unleash.

To play alongside:

Bennett

Yelan can very well be played in the company of Bennett to benefit from healing but also from an attack boost via the latter. In a team with two Pyro elements, one of which is a DPS, it will allow access to Pyro resonance.

Yoimiya

Yoimiya is a very good character to go with Yelan since she will serve as your DPS Pyro . She will thus be able to take advantage of the attacks of the die and the bonus linked to Yelan's passive.

Kazuha

Kazuha is a good character to complete your team and thus have access to the dispersion in your team where Yelan will be there as a Support.

Of course, these characters are only examples and do not constitute all of the playable characters with Yelan but just a small representation of what you can do. Your imagination will allow you to create your own teams and test according to your preferences.
