Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today we are going to focus on Ursula.
Introducing Ursula
Warning: The Little Mermaid is an animated film released in 1989 and is inspired by the tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen, published in 1836. We are told the story of Ariel, daughter of King Triton and mermaid, who only dreams of one thing: to transform into a human to live on earth. She will meet the evil witch Ursula with whom she will make a deal: her beautiful voice against human legs. On earth, she will fall in love with Prince Eric without being able to tell him since she is mute now.

Unlock Ursula, her house and her rewards by friendship level
Ursula is unlocked fairly quickly in the game scenario: as soon as you open access to the Enchanted Beach and you have advanced enough with Merlin. You will have to explore its cursed cave in order to find it.

Ursula's house is not the cursed cave: once her first quest is completed, you can build the witch's real house directly in the water.
Below are the rewards Ursula gives you at each friendship level. Level 10 is the maximum you can reach. Then, it will no longer be useless to make him gain experience, but it will always be more advantageous to take him to accompany you on an excursion since his bonuses will be higher.
Important : just like Ariel (mermaid form), Ursula lives in water and therefore cannot accompany you on excursions or even have a job. She can't go to the Restaurant either. It is therefore very difficult to raise your Friendship level. I therefore advise you to bring him his 3 favorite daily gifts and to have the daily discussion to earn as many points as possible.
Like any character, Ursula will offer you to follow Story quests to advance the scenario but also Friendship quests.

After meeting Ursula in her cave at the Enchanted Beach via Merlin's quest "With Great Powers", you will unlock the witch's first quest which will simply be to build her a house in the water . Be careful, it costs 10,000 coins to build it.
Once this is done, Ursula will need papers to start writing contracts again. You will easily find some inside the houses of the villagers like that of Merlin and Mickey for example.
Find sand on the Enchanted Beach by digging in the ground with your shovel or by breaking the corals with your improved pickaxe. Use your workbench to craft an empty flask (3 glasses) then Purple Pigment:
- 4 Purple Falling Penstemon (Esplanade)

4 Purple Rising Penstemon (Quiet Meadow)
If you can't find the right flowers, collect all the other flowers in the area (and even the branches) so that new flowers can grow quickly. Once the Pigment and the Empty Vial are crafted, find 6 Dream Shards.
Use your workbench again to craft the Magic Parchment and Ink Kit in the "functional items" tab and then give it to Ursula.

Friendship Quest 2 - Level 4
After talking to Ursula, you will need to ask Mother Gothel about the infamous Curse . For her to help you, you will have to cook for her and bring her two dishes:
- x2 Sushi : 1 Fish + 1 Rice
- 1 Lobster Sandwich : 1 Lobster + 1 Wheat + 1 Lemon + 1 Butter + 1 Garlic
By giving the dishes to Gothel, she will in return give you a rotting flower that you must offer to Ursula.
The ritual
Friendship Quest 3 - Level 7
To unlock the sequel, you will need to have advanced enough with Moana and opened the Sunshine Plateau biome. The first step will be to talk to Moana to get a special shell. Next, you will need to collect the following items:
- 5 aquamarine : to be mined on the Enchanted Beach or in the Forest of Courage,
- 6 Squid : can be fished in the Bayou of Confidence or in the Forgotten Lands (blue bubble circle)

1 Empty vial: to be crafted on your workbench using glass (and therefore sand)
Using all these items, craft an Enchantment Potion on your workbench in the "Potion and Enchantment" tab.
Now go to the Enchanted Beach, in front of the entrance to the Mystical Grotto (behind the pillar). Open your furniture menu and place the enchanted flower on the ground in front of the cave.
A Deal with Ursula - Unlock Eric
Friendship Quest 4 - Level 10
You will only access this quest once after advancing far enough with Ariel and unlocking the Forgotten Lands, Forest of Courage, and Icy Heights. This quest is extremely important because it will finally allow you to obtain the Eric character.
Talk to Ursula then go explore the ruins of the Forgotten Lands: they are on the right, not far from the teleportation well, you will see some stones on the ground and stelae. On the middle stele, you will see a black crystal (if like me, you had already picked it up while exploring the area, simply put it back in your inventory).
One crystal is fine, but to complete the enchantment you will need to find 3 more crystals and put them on the steles. Below is the location of the other 3 crystals :
- A crystal can be found in Bayou de la Confiance, at the foot of the large willow tree,
- Another can be found near the pond in the Sunny Plateau (if you can't get to it because of the bones, use this glitch that allows you to change the teleport well),
- The last one is in the Frozen Heights, near the start of the river.
Then return to the Forgotten Lands to place the crystals (in any order) on the 4 pedestals. A magic crystal will appear at your feet (or behind you). Pick it up to give it to Ursula who will then give you Eric's lost soul in exchange. To bring the prince back to life, you will need to complete his first quest which will just trigger automatically.
