After Flying Ace Winston, — the legendary skin honoring the 2018 Overwatch League Champions: London Spitfire — it's the turn of the American team San Francisco Shock to have its own skin following their victory last year. Thunder Doomfist Champions skin is available in-game from March 26 until April 9.
This skin should cost like all the others 200 OWL Tokens.
Origins of this skin
Conceptual artist David Kang explains the ideas behind this cosmetic, starting with this skin echoing a supernatural theme (slightly reminiscent of Thanos). Doomfist's skin is made of volcanic rock containing lava, which perfectly represents the seismic "Shock" side and gold sprinkles his body to recall that Sanf Francisco are the Champions. Players had no particular expectations for the skin, except that it should be as "tough" as possible. We can find on the skin the letters 'SF' on the belt, the team logo on the forehead, but also a star on his arm to commemorate the team's victory.
In an interview with our IGN colleagues, Jeff Kaplan spoke about Echo — also known as Hero 32. He confirmed that she would be the last character to be released in Overwatch, until the release of its sequel.
